A Look Inside Our DIY Cabin Bathroom Reno
I love cabin life.
And, more specifically, I love ELEVATED cabin life. Like, sorry… but if we’re being honest over here, I have zero desire for a murder movie lookin’ cabin — I want something CUTE.
This goes for the bathrooms, too… even if they’re for my teenage boys.
It’s why I decided on a — guess the word? — ELEVATED look for the boys bathroom during our cabin reno earlier this year. I wanted to create a bathroom space that felt a lot more spa-like than, well… cabin-like. And, at the same time, I wanted to create a bathroom space that didn’t feel overly girly or adult, either.
After all, they’re teenage boys. ‘NUFF SAID, amIright?!
The cabin bathroom reno vibes
When we started talking about what we wanted to do in the boys’ bathroom, we ended up veering towards a modern, slightly edgy bathroom design outfitted in blacks and whites. This felt right on the money to me when it came to creating that middle ground between teenage boys, cabins, and that elevated look I was going for, and it’s also something that felt timeless while also still being modern.
Lots of buzzwords? Well, yes. But am I THRILLED with the end product? Also, yes.
Here is the before, and while it was under renovation…
Here’s how it turned out. 🤩
