The Tips & Content I’ve Been Loving Lately as a Faith-Based Entrepreneur

I’m many, many years into this whole business owner thing, and y’all. It’s fulfilling and it’s beautiful, but it’s also hard and exhausting and sometimes a little (a lot?) overwhelming. I feel like I am in the trenches a lot of the time, and it gets heavy. However, I’m also a faith-based entrepreneur, and that means that I’m lucky enough to be anchored into something a lot bigger than me.

(And a lot bigger than marketing and invoicing and fear.)

If you’re like me, you know the peace this can bring… and the clarity it can bring, too. So, for my fellow faith-based girlies (and you can all join me), I wanted to share a few of the tips I’ve been clinging to lately and a few of the podcasts I’ve been binging as I go.

Tips for faith-based entrepreneurs

  1. Want to stop your progress? Focus on perfection.
Here’s the truth: perfect is the ENEMY of progress. You don’t need the perfect website, the perfect logo, or the perfect audience engagement rate to get started. All you need is faith and a desire to MOVE. So, build the thing. Sell the thing. Improve it as you go. Progress over perfection is so true, and so is the reminder that God can multiply movement. He will not multiply hesitation.
  2. Protect. Your. Time. It doesn’t come back.
Treat your calendar like your bank account (and not like one you don’t pay attention to!). If a meeting, collaboration, or project doesn’t align with the mission God has put on your heart, say no without guilt. Steward your time like the treasure it is — because we don’t get it back!
  3. Are you feeling like an impostor? You’re expanding.
Feeling unqualified? Good. Moses did too. Growth often feels uncomfortable because you’re stepping into something bigger than you. Lean into that, and lean into it again. Then, move forward knowing God doesn’t call the qualified — He qualifies the called. That’s you!
  4. Speak the language of money.
Stewardship isn’t just for personal budgets… it’s vital in business too. Stay close to your numbers. Build with wisdom. Things like profit margins, P&L, and cash flow aren’t meant to be scary words. They’re your lifelines. Even if you’re hiring help (especially when!), stay close to your numbers. Empowered women know what’s coming in and what’s going out.
  5. Carrying the grace of God with you is a power like nothing else.
You have something so special, and you need to bring it into your brand. Your team. Your client relationships. People are buying your energy as much as your product or service, and it’s a different kind of energy when you have God’s love with you.

And, just for fun… here are the podcasts I’ve been listening to lately along the way:
🎧 The Mel Robbins Podcast: High-energy, actionable advice for cutting through self-doubt and building a life you love.
🎧 Goal Digger: An entrepreneur’s toolkit for marketing, monetizing, and moving the needle in your business.
🎧 The Next Right Thing: Uplifting, concise, and full of gentle reminders that even small steps matter. It’s a breath of fresh air when you need a mid-week reset.
